Dear Marco Rubio,
I am Carolina Monroy Rosso, I am from Bolivia yet I am living in Miami while I pursue my university studies. I have a pressing concern which I believe is one that should catch your attention as you were highly involved in the Venezuela polemic, since Maduro has been ruling in a dictatorial form. Bolivia is currently falling into a dictatorial, inhuman, abusive, and unconstitutional rule by Evo Morales. A week and a few days ago, mass fraud was made and proved to be done so in the elections. Today marks the 8th day of peaceful protests all across the country and Evo Morales has sent the coca growers, miners, and other poor people with no means, forcefully to promote violence in the cities and disrupt the peaceful protests. These individuals have been armed by the government with dynamite, rocks, machetes, sticks, and firearms, and told to cause the most amount of damage possible. We presently have countless injured, many casualties, and tremendous fear. Furthermore, the president announced he would not let any vital needs to enter the cities (food, supplies, etc), and he even threatened to cut the water supply from La Paz, the most populated city in Bolivia.
These are all major human rights abuses under Bolivian and international laws, and the situation has been escalating rapidly into open systematic state violence against more than 80% of the population who simply want democracy, transparent elections, and the respect of our constitution.
As a Bolivian citizen and patriot, representing the beliefs of a large majority of my nationals, we do not want to fall into the system of Castro-Chavismo which has been decided as the agenda for a great amount of Latin American countries in the 1990 Foro de Sao Paulo.
I ask you to please reach me if you wish by email or by phone, I would be glad to collaborate in any way I can to make this situation be known by the international eye which is not giving Bolivia much coverage on the atrocities of the case, and most of the news relating to the case is centered around what the fraudulent, illicit, and unconstitutional government announces in their reports and press conferences - which is tremendously far from the truth. Kind regards,
Carolina Monroy Rosso
